CLINICAL CASE: DIFFICULTIES IN THE DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF DERMATOMYOSITIS WITH LUNG INVOLVEMENT AND COVID-19

Romanovsky A.V., Levchenko V.G.

Summary. A clinical case of a 45-year-old female patient with dermatomyositis is presented.  Diagnosis challenges were associated with the typical clinic picture and tests results typical for COVID-19 and typical lung radiological changes specific for interstitial lung disease. After exclusion of SARS-CoV-2 infection and determination of positivity by dermatomyositis-specific antibodies, combined therapy of dermatomyositis was applied, which led to a decrease in disease activity and disappearance of interstitial lung disease manifestations.
