DERMATOMYOSITIS AS A PARANOPLASTIC SYNDROME AND BREAST CANCER IN A YOUNG PATIENT IN THE PERIOD OF LACTATION: CLINICAL CASE

Tripolka S.A.1, Gubchenko Yu.N.2

Summary. A description of the clinical case of a combination of breast cancer and dermatomyositis in a young nursing patient is presented. The disease debuted with a skin symptom complex (heliotropic erythema, erythematous rash on the skin) is accompanied by articular syndrome, muscle pain, myocarditis. An examination of an oncologist revealed a poorly differentiated invasive ductal carcinoma of the left mammary gland. The use of combined treatment for cancer pathology: polychemotherapy, radical left-sided mastectomy, a course of body-gamma therapy on the left mammary gland, and prednisone therapy reduced dermatomyositis, clinical and laboratory myositis, and skin lesions.
However, the recurrence of a malignant disease led to reactivation of the skin-articular-muscular symptoms and the lack of a response to dermatomyositis therapy.
