Summary. In article submitted overview literature and clinical case palindromic rheumatism (PR). Palindromic rheumatism is a syndrome that is characterized by repeated short-term attacks of arthritis. The relationship between PR and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) has long been traced. A significant proportion of patients with PR do develop RA. Therefore, PR is often considered a prodrom of RA. But the PR phenotype has several important differences from RA. This suggests that despite the similarities, there are various mechanisms of the disease. Given the lack of evidence base for PR, a better understanding of these mechanisms will continue to be important for the approval of new therapeutic approaches.
