Summary. The relationship between clinical manifestations of the disease, the intensity of pain and anxiety and depressive disorders in patients with RA with different variants of polymorphic sites of T102C in promotor regions of 5-HTR2A gene was studied. Patients with TC genotype were found to have high indices of pain intensity, inflammatory process activity according to DAS28 and CDAI as well as significant increase of swollen joints number, while there were moderate indices of pain intensity and inflammatory process activityin patients with TT and CC genotypes, and no statistical significant difference in the number of aching joints between patients with TT and TC genotype was observed. Patients with TT genotype were found to have significantly higher rate of depressive disorders associated with moderate indices of inflammatory process activity and pain intensity in comparison with patients with TC and CC genotypes, while ST indices proved to be higher in patients with TC genotype as compared to patients with TT and CC genotypes, and TA values were nearly identical in all groups of patients. Besides, inverse moderate and medium relationship between pain intensity, inflammatory process activity and indices of anxiety and depressive disorders in patients with TT genotype was established, while there were close, medium and direct correlations between these indices in patients with TC and CC genotype.
