Summary. Knee «normal variants» and structure abnormalities and their role in osteoarthritis formation are highlighted in the article. Anatomical changes (varus deformation, femoro-patellar junction changes, meniscus changes) lead to joint osteoarthritis changes are structure abnormalities and could require preventive surgical treatment.
