Analysis of the employment of people with ankylosing spondylitisProtsenko G.O.1, Telpis D.F.1, Kholopov L.S.2
Summary. A cross-sectional study of employed and recently laid-off patients with ankylosing spondylitis was conducted, which analyzed demographic data, exacerbation frequency, and working conditions. The results showed that worsening health and increasing pain were more often observed in patients who lost their jobs. With optimal symptom control and appropriate workplace support — including flexible working hours, teleworking, and special equipment — that can prevent early disability, it is possible to improve the employment rate and quality of life of people with ankylosing spondylitis.
