ENTRAPMENT NEUROPATHIES OF THE UPPER EXTREMITIES IN THE PRACTICE OF RHEUMATOLOGIST: HOW TO GET OUT OF THE TUNNEL?

Summary. Entrapment neuropathies of the upper extremities are one of the complications of some rheumatological diseases and in practice can occur in patients with chronic polyarthritis, tendovaginitis, or with massive arthritic ostheophytes in the elbow, radiocarpal joints or joints of the wrist. This overview article presents information about diagnosis and treatment of the main tunnel neuropathies of the upper limbs, which will allow the rheumatologist to improve professional awareness and refer the patient to a qualified specialist.
