Lesions of the spine in patients with rheumatoid arthritis

Summary. In addition to the symptoms characteristic of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) lesions of the spine (mainly cervical spine) patients may experience clinical manifestations caused by age-related degenerative-dystrophic shifts, as well as the addition of infections including tuberculosis. The above clinical case shows the diagnostic, therapeutic and organizational difficulties in patients with RA in case of acute spondylodiscitis and hospitalization in non-core department.
