REALIZATION OF THE PRINCIPLE OF INDIVIDUALIZATION OSTEOPOROSIS TREATMENT FOR SPECIFIC CLINICAL SCENARIOS

Summary. Individual treatment of osteoporosis and its complications in certain clinical situations is presented in this article. Сurrent antiresorptive and anabolic drugs used in the treatment of osteoporosis, indications for their use, their limits and possible side effects are presented. Modern approaches to the treatment of osteoporosis are based on an assessment of the risk of fracture (primarily system FRAX) and bone mineral density. According to the latest recommendations, oral bisphosphonates are considered first-line drugs. Range of drugs for the treatment of osteoporosis has changed significantly in the last decade with the deepening and expansion of our knowledge of the biology of bone, which allowed progress in particularly difficult clinical situations. Various clinical situations and personalized options antiosteoporotic treatment are presented. Selecting antiosteoporotic drugs in each individual case must be based on taking into account individual clinical situation, the severity of osteoporosis, comorbid conditions, patient’s preferences. Some situations require a joint management of the patient rheumatologist, endocrinologist, gynecologist, traumatologist.
