Lipid markers of subclinical atherosclerosis in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and autoimmune thyroiditis
Summary. Objective. To determine, evaluate and compare the lipid markers of subclinical atherosclerosis in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) with and without autoimmune thyroiditis AIT.In all RA patients besides general physical and rheumatological examination thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), the free free app spy cell phone fraction of thyroxine (FT4), antithyroid antibodies, functional condition (HAQ index), levels of lipids, autoimmune markers, BMI index, ECG, ECHO, WHO (Rose) Angina Questionnaire were measured. DAS28 index was the same in all groups, although the number of swollen joints was higher in group I. It means that joint syndrome was more expressed in RA patients with AIT and hypothyroidism. The TSH is correlated with the level of fibrinogen (r=+0.73), total cholesterol (r=+0.62) and triglycerides (r=+0.86); levels of total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and triglycerides were higher in RA patients with AIT and hypothyroidism, associated with an increased cardiovascular risks.
