EVALUATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF GLUCOSAMINE SULFATE IN TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH LOW BACK PAIN WITH COMORBID PATHOLOGY
Summary. Low back pain is a relevant problem of modern medicine, as it leads to a significant decrease in the quality of life of patients, is most often diagnosed in people of working age and is the main cause of disability in the world, which has a great socio-economic significance of this problem and is one of the most frequent reasons for seeking a doctor. According to modern recommendations, a group of medication called symptomatic slow-acting anti-inflammatory drugs (SYSADOA) was included in the algorithm for treating osteoarthritis. It was assumed that agents of this group have not only a symptomatic effect, but also, with prolonged use, slow down the progression of OA. In Ukraine, one of the most common registered medications of the SYSADOA group is glucosamine sulfate. An important task was to investigate the effectiveness of glucosamine sulfate, namely the Ukrainian-made medication Biolik Pharma «Artima», in the treatment of patients not only with ОА, but also with low back pain.
