Evaluation efficacy of slow action anti-inflammatory drugs in patients with knee osteoarthritis and hyperuricemia

Summary. This article presents an evaluation efficacy of diatserein by indicators of articular syndrome, such as VAS, indices Lequesne, WOMAC. Investigated influence of diacerein on cytokines le­vels (IL-1β, TNF-α, IGF-1, TGF-β), free radicals (NO), uric acid levels, general clinical indicators. Taking into account received data, we can conclude that the administration of diatserein in the treatment of osteoarthritis reduces pain, improves quality of life and impacts the levels of uric acid, which is important when treating patients with concomitant hyperuricemia.
