Summary. It is reasonable in children with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA) to determine risk of refractory course of the disease development in order to better tailor optimal therapy. Prediction of JRA course can be made using clinical and cytokine predictors of unfavourable prognosis by estimation of their combined effect. To calculate risk of refractory JRA course formation in a patient we designed Microsoft Excel application. Its use in physician’s practice enables prediction of JRA course character in patients at time of JRA diagnosis, after evaluation of clinical data with special attention to two cytokine levels — sCD25 and IL-6.
