THE FREQUENCY OF DIAGNOSIS NEUROPATHIC COMPONENTS OF PAIN IN PATIENTS WITH KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS

Summary. In 112 patients with osteoarthritis of the knee joints tested to identify neuropathic components of pain. Studies have established a high percentage of patients who are diagnosed neuropathic nature of pain with nociceptive pain. Thus, in 84.9% of patients when tested in questionnaire DN4 revealed neuropathic pain and 81.25% — by using a questionnaire LANSS. Most often when describing the pain syndrome of complaints that indicate neuropathic component, patients are stressed on the sensation of burning pain in the area, tingling, «crawling» the pain in an «electric shock». The high incidence of neuropathic pain for osteoarthritis require special inspections or tests for the diagnosis of neuropathic component in chronic pain syndrome, characteristic of osteoarthritis, as well as prescriptions for the correction of neuropathic pain.
