Summary. he article presents the results of blood cytokine profile study in 80 patients with osteoarthritis I–II stage in acute period at the age of 37–76 years. It has been found that in patients with osteoarthritis (OA) with increasing severity of OA, range and severity of comorbid age processes growing imbalance of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines in the blood and resistance of their recourse within 30 days standard treatment of OA is present. Achieving the status of OA incomplete remission in 30-day standard treatment with minimal regression of inflammatory cytokines blood parameters indicate a significant contribution to the stability of comorbid processes of blood cytokine imbalance. The most significant impact on the stability of blood cytokine imbalance components of metabolic syndrome are causing. Given the pathogenic role of cytokine imbalance in the development and progression of ОА in order to reduce the imbalance of cytokines is appropriate to include to standard treatment drugs that affect comorbid processes.
