Granulomas develope with participation of immunopathological mechanisms and it is possible to block the granulomatous process development at the molecular level with anti-cytokine therapy. Anti-cytokine therapy is being effectively used in rheumatoid arthritis, but it is apparently useful in relation to other granulomatous diseases in rheumatological practice.
