Сlinical and pathogenetic aspects of psoriatic arthritis

Kachur V.V.

Summary. Summary. Further investigation of the psoriatic arthritis pathogenesis is important due to lack of efficacy of its treatment, and hence the search for new targets for pathogenetic therapy. The psoriasis is considered such as primary T-cell response of the immune system, but psoriatic arthritis mostly involves a humoral immune response mechanism. The role of TNF-α as the main cytokine in immunopathological process of chronic inflammation in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis is confirmed. However, psoriatic arthritis is accompanied with more evident reaction from B-lymphocytes. Increase in cells and rise of circulating immune complexes and immunoglobulins levels are arguments of it.
