Summary. The article presents a brief biography of the great scientist who has made a significant contribution not only to the development of dermatology and infectology, and rheumatology. Abraham Buschke first described the skin manifestations in benign symmetric induration of skin, supported description by histopathological studies. Later the disease was named after him and assigned to a group of scleroderma.
